When you say "hot spots" what do you mean exactly spark? Are you getting sparklies? Do you have a shorter cable to try? What resolution are you running? Can you try a lower resolution and see if the hot spots go away?

Not sure what motor that Charger has in it. I'ts not mine.

Try a shorter HDMI cable. 30 ft can give you sparklies.

Sounds like a convergence issue.

Ok I've seen what you are describing but on a Sony D50. Let's ask Curt on this one. Maybe smearing?

Do you have a 6 foot HDMI cable you can test with? I understand you not wanting to run 480p but try it as a test, though I think this may be a projector issue.

EDIT: Yes what J said too. When was the last time you did a convergence?

dont have a shorter cable . the convergence isnt perfect but its as good as i can get it . it never did it on s video still doesnt. does it make a difference if the fury 3 is close to the blue ray or is it better up close to the projector which is where it is now.

Get a short cable and put the BR player right under the projector. I'm not sure whether you have set, cable, source or Fury issues right now.

I am not familiar with the Zenith 900. But it sounds like you may have lost Blue focus. Can you bring up an internal Grid pattern of each color individually and see if the blue grid lines are much wider than the red and green.
