|
|
I have a 9500LC Ultra and I am finally going to buy a blueray player :O. My projector is connected via a 30' RGBHV cable and it is not feasible for me to replace this cable so I need something that can drive this cable length.
Is there any significant differences between the Moome and the HD Fury? What should I buy to work best with this projector? Is anyone using either of these devices w/ a 9500? Any particular DVD player recommended?
Thanks,
Tim

Check out this thread, Tim...
Moome VS HD Fury for a Sony G70?
From what Craig said, especially if you have a 9" machine and want to run 1080p, the Moome is the way to go.

Just to be clear, I would be getting the external Moome device, not the internal card. Still go with the Moome?

Did you read the thread I linked you to? I quote...
| CIR wrote: | I actually have the Moome external V2 with MP mods here, the Moome external V1 without mods, and the HDF3, and the HDF2. The Moome external v2 thrashes the HDF2 and is a much better product in terms of image quality and bandwidth. The HDF2 attenuates most of the high frequencies and does not show true 1080p 60Hz. The first Moome external 1.3 v1 also attenuated, but the v2 is very clean and is perfect in that regard.
I have not yet been able to get the HDF3 to work correctly in my system and it is still beta so I can't comment on it just yet (nor am I allowed to). But I will say that the circuit design of the HDF3 is similar to the Moome external, so the two may wind up performing similarly. At that point it will come down to features and price point. |
I haven't seen an update from him, but Craig seemed pretty impressed with the EXT FullHD V2. Of course, he also said the Fury 3 might end up very similar. Given the price, I might be inclined to give the Moome a try at this point. I'd like to pick up a EXT FullHD V2 to compare to the Fury 3 in my own system to see if my machine is even good enough to reveal any difference that may exist.

Yes, I read the full thread and there were numerous posts that the internal card was way better than the external one including this comment from Craig:
"Tons of difference between the current Moome external and internal boards. The internals use triple DAC's and opamp amps, just to name one thing."
So I am just trying to see what the opinion is on the external V2 since I cannot use the internal card without ripping open my walls to run new cable, not an option for me.

the internal moome gives you a very clean picture with close to zero noise so i would consider the use of a hdmi cable straight into the moome internal.
the cable doesnt have to be invisible just along the ceiling to the pj who cares.
all my speaker cables are in plain sight.
