You need either to make a VGA to 9 pin cord to connect your HDFury2 with or the VGA to 5 BNC RGBHV cable for the HDFury and then an IFB-10, IFB-11, IFB-12 or IFB-12a card for your switcher.
You could also plug the HDFury2 into the projector directly if you had the VGA to RGBHV HDFury cable.

I believe the Sony used a standard 9 pin RGB so hope it works for you. See you came up with option number 3.

Did the adapter work for you? I ended up cutting the 15 pin end off of a vga cable and soddering on a 9 pin connector. On another AV forum there is a discussion of the pin out for this as I believe the Sony 9 pin is different.

well it didnt work! the picture was blue with a green line on right and the reds on the out sides, also had three squeezed pictures and out of sync with the total screen (as if the v-hold was going at max) i think maybe the 15 pin to the 9 pin is not configuered correctly? pleeeeeeeeeeease help!!!!!!

What model is the DB-9 interface card in your switcher? Maybe we can dig up an info sheet on it.

This is what I used for my 1271 with the 9 pin analog rgb, I beleive ifb-20. I found this on another forum.
Pinouts on DB9 on IFB-20 Card
---------------------------------------
pin 1. GND
pin 2. -
pin 3. Red
pin 4. Green
pin 5. Blue
pin 6. -
pin 7. -
pin 8. Hor. sync.
pin 9. Vert. sync.
Pinouts for Standard DB15
----------------------------------
1 Red (Analog) 6 Red Return 11 (ID0) GND (Color)
2 Green (Analog) 7 Green Return 12 (ID1) NC (Color)
3 Blue (Analog) 8 Blue Retuen 13 Horzontal Sync
4 Reserved 9 No Connect 14 Vertical Sync
5 Ground 10 Ground 15 No Connect
Cable or Convetor would need the Following
9-pin F 15-pin M
------- --------
1,2,6 --------- 5
3 --------- 1
4 --------- 2
5 --------- 3
8 --------- 13
9 --------- 14
