I have had my 8500 for a wile now and have had no problems. All of a sudden my red tube flickers from reg brightness to to to bright, to the point where it gives the picture a reddish tint. This had happen before. It would flicker for a second then return to the normal brightness. It has gotten worse in the past few days. Last night I had to shut the projector down, it was that bad. The tubes have about 6000 hours on them but have little to no where. everything else works fine. Any thoughts anyone? Thanks

I have a feeling that Nash is going to be walking through a lot of the same troubleshooting steps he did with me... That should save some time.
In my case, it was my HVPS that was shot... I hope for your sake that's not the case with yours!
