The old Barco is getting quite noisy and I have decided to try and do something about it. The projector currently has 4 fans, NMB 3610 NL-04W-B40, 92MMx92MMx25MM, rated at 53.67 CFM @ 39.5 DB.
I'm debating the following two options,
1) Installing resister 3 W 10 Ohm resister in series as recommended by this thread
http://forum.eisemann-theater.com/index.php?showtopic=15&pid=174&mode=threaded&start=#entry174
2) Installing 4 Noctura NF-B9, 92MMx92MMx25MM fans, rated at 37.84 CFM (64.3M3/H) @ 17.6 DB

So the question is:
Will the projector overheat? I've heard the barco's a little over engineered for cooling and that they can be placed in environments with 100 degree heat. The projector will be in a climate controlled room, with about 4 feet of open ceiling above it (My ceilings are 14'6"). If anyone knows of a better 92MM fan let me know, assuming it's not Silenx. I've heard they are not to be reliable or meet their claimed specifications.
