Terry,
I never would have thought someone would take so much time and effort to ship my tubes as you did. This should be the standard for shipping tubes.
Thanks,
Dan

That IS the standard for shipping tubes, isn't it?? That is how I got my three. Original tube shipping boxes. Anything else is not the standard way to ship.
Nothing like the smell of fresh phosphor!

Yes, that's a factory/OEM tube container. That's why it's so nice.

That's standard.
If someone does it a different way, it better be bloody good...
If someone does it worse, they need a good hard slappin'.
Terry did it right, and from guys like Terry/Tim/Curt, you would expect no less.

You know, I just thought about how interesting it would be to substitute one of these for the candlestick. Its not like any detective is gonna guess the correct instrument, right?

Guys!
It is a gamble not to have a heavy cardboard tube around the neck; which would transfer strain to the tube bell if dropped on the end.

I see your point Tim but have never ever seen any manufacturers do that when shipping tubes.

It looks like the cardboard structure, in pic #0864 with the packaging material on top, provides the bridge between the top cover and the tube bell holding the tube in place with the compression force of the top and bottom foam.
