Hi all,
Are the daughter cards interchangeable between these two machines?

Hi again Curt,

To the crux of the matter. I got the 852 some time ago with a MOOME dvi card and to be fair the man included in his listing the MOOME card was intermittent. Just got to trying it recently. I have verified the dvi card works in another projector, but no picture when in this 852 from input B or C. Input A is fine. Daughter card?? or??

Thanks again,

Philip

You may have the situation mentioned below if you get the 'Slot [x] not available' message. Try this, of course where it says FullHD card, substitute DVI card.
I replaced my old Moome DVI input card with this new Moome XG-FULLHD card but the new card doesn't work!
If you owned Moome's previous DVI card and replace it with this new XG-FULLHD card, in some cases the projector may get confused and not recognize the new card. There is a one time procedure you need follow once to let the projector know you have a new card installed:
1. Turn off the pj and disconnect power or flip the switch off using the switch near the power cord.
2. Leave it off for a good 10 seconds until you see the indicator lights/display on the pj dim and go out.
3. Pull the XG-FULLHD card out to disconnect it. You only need to pull it out enough to disconnect it from the slot.
4. Re-insert XG-FULLHD with no inputs connected.
5. Plug power back in/switch on and turn power on the pj, making sure the initial input in use is slot A or B. If slot C was your default input, change it to slot A for now.
6. Now switching to slot C should work and you will get a 'new input' message (or something similar depending on your version of NEC)
7. Finally, with the source shut off, connect the hdmi cable and then power on your source. You should see 2 green lights on the XG-FULLHD, one next to the active input and the other between them to indicate a handshake. At that point you will have an image and will likely need to create a new SIGNAL ENTRY just by copying the one you had for your DVI card setup.
Hopefully this won't happen again unless you make it a habit of swapping out your older DVI card for the newer XG-FULLHD card.

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for the info. I do not have an XG-FULL HD card. I do have a Sony FULL-HD card I am considering for trade/swap for XG FULL-HD if and when I get this dvi card to work in this projector. The dvi card works in a projector I don't use very often in another location.

I did try the procedure you outlined but did not get a picture. What I got was Red tube lit only. I don't get a message saying Slot* not available. When I press info it shows all the info pertaining to that slot. ???

Philip
