If your tv has a vga input and it works with your laptop then why not just leave it hooked up that way?
Also when you were trying the HDMI input, did you have the refresh rate at 60hz?

It has both VGA and Component. I can use an ordinary vga cable to connect to the vga port with no problems apart from the fact that its not HD quality |

I did however find the model number in the first post , yeah I just woke up. 12 minutes ago. Wait! It's Saturday! Why am I up before noon?
