Hey guys! I cant center my green raster on my marquee9500lcultra. The other two is movable but the green seems to be locked or something. I just press convergens button and then press the color button+nr2(screen turns green) but the raster wont move by pressing the left/right/upp/down keys. Is there some special menu for the green?
please

you cannoty move the green in the convergence menu.
this is done in the guided mechanical setup after you press help on the remote and then choose for option 2.
you can move the raster of the blue and red as well in this setup.
but dont listen to the guide when prompted to get the sides aligned go for a perfect center alignment of red and blue on green.

Thanks! it workws.
something wierd is that i dont seem to be able to get the blue line sharp without setting the focus with the remote low while the red and green need it to be sat high? is the tube placed wrong in some way? can it be adjusted with the "toe in" ??
great forum!

Andreas,
sounds like your pj is not square to the screen? If your mechanical setup is not good, it will be hellish on the rest of the setup. Not sure if you already ceiling mounted hte machine, but I would suggest starting from scratch. Under the setup tips and manuals, Curt has a nice procedure for set up. First thing though, is making sure that your throw distance is correct, the tubes are equi-distant to the screen (your machine is perpendicular), you maximize and center the rasters, and then get the focus perfect on the tube faces. If you do it right, focus should be set at or around 50 and all three will be in focus on the tube faces. Start with the setup tips though. It's a nice step by step procedure that works in tandem to the Marquee guided setup software.

Is this focus issue on the tube face, or on the screen with the lenses? You do have dynamic and edge screen focus using the lenses themselves. You also have the ability to adjust focus on each tube. The easiest way to do this is to run through the guided setup.

no, the focus issue is on the screen. its just the blue one. It does get sharp when turning down focus on the remote and then moveing the lenses BUT, then the other colors dont get as sharp. But if i can control the remote focus indivudualy on each tube it will work. If i learn how to do it. I try the guidet setup and see thanks alot
i am a litle bit worried about my chooise to buy this machine. The demo i saw was the best picture ive seen so if i can get it close to that i will be pleased
sorry about the english(i live in sweden)

i found out how to adjust the electric focus for the blue tube separate. BUT i read that the focus SHOUD be sat at 50% during the basic setup. So what shoud i do? Shall i do the setup first with all tubes sat at 50 and then fine tune at the end? or shoud i turn the blue sharp with the remote from start when it comes to focusing in the setup? perhaps confusing description...

astig and zone focus interact so you may want to refine those settings a few times.

well ive now done some sutups... some better some worse but none as good as i wood like it to be. It seems like the corners are always blurry or blooming on almost all colors. It may depend on that the projector is 1cm skewed to the left? could i use the bar in the midle to adjust the projectors position even without reseting everything.. does the geometri ive made effect the bar in the help menu? best to reset everything and start over again with the mecanical setup. it could be the sheimplugs that has to be adjusted better?
I try and post some pictures later

you need to do use the Scheimflug adjustments on the tube/lens housings. they adjust the plane of the lens tot he tube face to compensate for each lens not being perpendicular to either the tube itself or the screen. For the green it usually is needed just for screen to lens angle and for the red and blue it is both. it takes some time
to figure out what adjustment does what on the screen but you'll figure it out. I suggest following the on screen mechanical set up guide. press the help button on the remote and select mechanical set up. And having the PJ perfectly aligned tot he screen helps out a lot.

not sure what lenses your using, but some of that edge focus may be normal for your lenses as well.

the lenses are delta hd 10r5m
so it is hard to get a focused picture if the projector is set a litle bit skewed to the screen?

it just doesnt seem to be sharp on the red corners even when adjusting sheimflugs... do i have to reset rgb focus first?
i moved the screen so it matches the pj and it improved the focus on green+blue.. just the red corners thats still bad... the sheimflugs doesnt seem to do any difference and if, not to the better...
