These would be fun to do an outdoor movie theater/drive-in but my understanding is that you'd probably have to buy all 8 just to keep one running.

I thought it would be cool to get 4 or so running in a stack to see if you can burn a hole through the screen.

What about their lenses? These should be sharper than CRT ones, because the JVc monsters were made for much higher resolutions...Could we use them for AC CRT machines???

Have you tried using one of those in your theater yet? If it was in good running order you might prefer the picture over a crt projector. I'd love to see one in action anyway.
