You may not have hot spotting, but uniformity will be an issue if you are over unity gain. Even at unity, a CRT doesn't have good corner to corner uniformity. Anyway, it is great that you are enjoying your screen.

Another thing to remember is, the higher you run the contrast the more the image will suffer in sharpness. The spot starts to noticeably bloom at some point.
I went with a 160" Dalite Hi-Power, 2.8 gain. This screen kicks butt for three across seating. If the viewing angle gets much bigger, you start to get into to the cheap seats. The color shifts and the brightness falls off pretty quickly. Very high in junk light rejection.
I got the electric for around $800.00, I though it was a good deal.

i ran my contrast brightness between 50 60 . the hw15 had perfect uniformity the g70 little less but thats the projector not the wall
|
