That is what I don't like about the cover, Cables make a sharp bend. If they are good quality thick cable they even get smashed a little.

Hopefully some day soon Gino will have only one HD-SDI coax line to each of his PJ's to cover.

High quality 90 degree BNC connectors are available, or use 90 degree BNC elbow adapters.
I use elbow adapters already because my 9500LC is so close to the back wall. It also
makes sense to do it as it takes the strain off of the cable's connectors.

I know that I am no pete but I shot a few pictures to put on my site. I have been busy with other things this week, so I did not get much done on the case project.

Wow, that looks great!!!!
Let me suggest an item to polish these with (leaves no residue) which is very easy to work with, and is CHEAP!
"Lemon Pledge", used for polishing furniture wood. Spray a bit on a finished item, wipe it off and then take your pictures. It'll look great and we won't see any polishing smears in your photos.

Paul,
That color looks sweet.
did you paint that yourself or was it a shop job?
If I had a Q - I would be getting one of these.

Thanks for the input. the smears may be from my hands I only lightly rubbed it out with the 3m compound found in the pictures. If it would have been polished with a glaze there would not have been any smears in the picture.

Has anyone received these cases yet from Derfla??
What I am wondering about is the fitment of the case to the PJ as well as fitment of the fiberglass parts to each other. I guess what I am really asking is if everything line up properly and the lines are straight and gaps are equal when it is all together.
I personally think that this style case is the BEST case that was ever put on the Marquee and am strongly considering putting one on a Marquee chassis.

Terry, I have not sold any yet. Not that people Have not offered to pay, I simply will not take an order until I am 100% confidant I can fill orders in a timely manner. If you were to look at a vision case close you would see that each panel has two built in spacer where one panel contacts the next, this spacer is formed in the mold. The side panel mounting screws are oval just like the oem sides, so you can adjust. If you ever fit a vision case you know that each one has to be fit to get all the gaps close to the same "every automobile fender has the same design". Every vision case was cast from the same mold that I have in my shop. I will take some pictures of the spacers.

Any decent electronic supply house should have them. Get a quality brand name, like AMP, Amphenol, or Kings. Don't bother with Chinese ones. They are likely to fall apart.

I just revisited this thread to remind myself of what had been accomplished.
I note that Derfla's site is gone so I guess this project ran its course.
