Here's The Big Dawgz top 5 Romantic flicks... They're great for a Date.... and they look good too.

5. Sense and Sensibility. Ang Lee Directs Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet... It's a very good dvd transfer. Colors are good. It's a good movie as well.

4. It Happened one night. A black and white classic. Colbert and Gable at the top of their game...

3. Notting Hill. Hugh Grant, Julia Roberts in a smartly scripted flick. Co-star Rhys Ifan steal every scene he's in. Very Funny The only fault I find w/ this movie is the music score... It sucks!!! The song in the closing scene makes me want to hurt someone!!!

2. Holiday. Another B&W classic. Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn. George Cuckor Directs this funny, sharply written...romantic Dramedy. Not as well known as some of their other movies... but this one is one of their best!!!

1. About a Boy. Hugh Grant, Rachel Weitz, Toni Collette. Adapted from a Nick Hornby novel, this is one of my favorite movies...PERIOD. I identify w/ the main character in many ways.

So why go out? The critics are panning "Valentines Day" the latest Hollywood slop. Order in and snuggle up w/ one of the Big Dawg selections....

Happy Hunting!!!

P.S. I couldn't resist 3 more good ones

a. Pillow Talk. Doris Day, Rock Hudson.
b. Emma. Gwyneth Paltrow Ewan MacGregor
c. Much ado about Nothing. Keneth Branagh, Denzel Washington, Emma Thompson...

Enjoy! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Breakfast at Tiffany's? Seriously? I love the movie! My wife and watch it every couple of years. I suppose I like it because A) I've been frustrated a time or two by a woman pretty similar to Holly Golightly (well, at least the flummoxing and care-free parts of her personality, anyway), and B) I can't take my eyes off Audrey Hepburn. What a gorgeous woman - the epitome of 50's femininity.
