I just did a cpc magnet setup using the marquee magnetics setup 101. I also used the lowest frequency[15.73] and got nice dot and good beam in the center. I did not initialize the pj, just reset every thing to 50 and then followed the instruction. I now have some questions about my setup and what I need to do. First question, I used lowest frquency to setup every thing, I'm going to use hdmi from sat feeding 1080i into the moone card, do I need to setup using another frequency? Do I have to reset every thing again and start redoing every thing over ?

Well the CPC settings will not change, the electronic Astigs might. So just hook up an external source your using and an external grid pattern and do the set up as normal. Then go into the service menu and double check the zone RGB focus.

Should I go back and set the geometry to 50 for every thing and select a high frequency ? And then use external a grid pattern to just set convergence ?

I never use the internal frequency unless for some reason you do not have source hooked up and you want to do some tweaking, then you would use the closest internal frequency to match the externals . So Just hook up your external source and use a convergence grid from that, like DVE's, or from a HTPC if that is what your source is.

I do a complete initialization instead of setting all to 50, its more thorough , and cleans out any old memory blocks that might be contaminated.
