The small connector type is SMB. That is what I was going to use for the Marquee. We found a source for the original mini-RCA connectors so didn't switch over.

Right Scott but there are s many sizes of SMB, were getting confused. I think we have the right socket. the one i have is about 3 mm in outer diameter. can you check yours when your at work tomorrow?

I'm pretty sure that SMBs are SMBs. There are SMA and apparently SMZ types but they are different sizes. SMB being the smaller size connector. There may be types for different cable sizes but the jack and plugs will all fit together. AFAIK.

Switch Country to USA, then enter the manufactures part number not the mouser part number. The Mouser number is region specific. Once on the USA site you'll see the USA flag . enter the Amphenol number and you'll see the 3.98 price for one, 10 are 3.64. etc.

I might order a few for myself to test. I want to see if i can use a much thicker cable i have here that is 99% copper with silver plating. the RG 179 cables i looked at are mostly copper plated Steel, i dont like the sound of steel carrying a video signal. And I think that is what the original cable is. I made one cable out of very thick double shielded Audio Quest Silver cable and that was much better than stock. but it was so thick it broke the Socket off the VIM.

The belden cable i have is silver plated and thinner. So it should be easier to feed through the chassis. Hopefully it will
not be so rigid as to break off the original Mini Rca . The new SMB's with the screw should hold up better if i try that. I should have ordered a few for testing.

@dvh99 I was on the so called "radio market" a week back. Plenty of SMA SMB wires plugs connectors for sale. The connectors were about 75 cent to 1 euro a piece. Bought some ready made coax with smb for 2,50 each (thats including 2 connectors)

It was something Electrohome was going to add into the second input slot where the Moome Card goes. it never happened as they sold the company.

It was originally designed for an edge blending board that did not happen. The design was a separate board that attached on top of the VIM (P3 / P4), it was to be mounted right behind the second input slot on the VIM.

U21 was how they were going to insert the signal into the video chain thru AD835's
