Hi,
I have recently bought a epc 3500.
All was good last night after enjoying a good movie. I go to fire up to projector this morning and nothing.
I had just mounted it to the ceiling and was going to fine tune the convergence this morning.
It just doesnt burst into life, press the power button on remote and nothing, ive change the batterys in the remote, the red led flashes ok, but no power voltage lights come on on the back of the ECP. The "ready" light is the only light that is on. no error light. Ive reaseated all the pcb's and changed the HV power supply for another, but still no go.
I can hear a faint clicking noise when i plug the power cord in, and thats it??
It was very dark last night and couldnt see exactly what buttons i pushed on remote, i assumed i put it into standby, but i MAY (or may not) have left it in standby all night as i fell asleep.
Ive bought a working ecp4100 for parts, hopefully i will be able to trouble shoot using this 4100.
Im no genius when it comes to this stuff, so any ideas anyone???? any help would be great.
Thanks in Advance.

Cheers

Either the LVPS is bad, or the Dallas chip on the PC board is bad.

THE LVPS is the same, you'll need to check the part numbers on the Dallas chip to make sure they are the same.

FYI.
Ive got it working.
I fitted the hardwired remote from the ECP 4100 to the 3500, then performed a "Reset" the hey presto the ecp3500 burst into life.
I must have reprofgrammed the remote accidently in the dark.

Cheers
