I am looking for help for focus and alingment for my G70

Any particular order that would work best.

1. measure from left and right to center of lens and level projector
2. mechanical focus
3. open projector and alignment of yokes?

Then go from there. It has been so long since I had a Sony I forget.

Also if anyone knows of any links the help is appreciated

Thanks

I'll throw this out there: When stacking sets a la Cliff's setup, each projector is way off axis left-right, although of course ideally a single set is perfectly centered.

To me though, being off on the throw distance is worse than being off left-right by a bit.

Don't forget adjust the CPC magnets (tabs on a G70).

That along with the Yoke adjustment will minimize drift.

I still need to pick up my screen on thursday. I have got the image looking pretty good!
I know I still need to adjust inside the projector and have read the focus
guide not real excited about attempting it! I guess I should read more before
I go for it.

Hey Greg, my best advice (as a completely greenhorn g70 setup person that is) is to enjoy the picture you have currently running as you read and reread the cpc adjustment section and the entire setup section again. Then in a week or two when you are feeling froggy, just go for it. Understand you'll probably end up redoing from scratch the entire setup a few times until you get what you feel is the as close to perfect setup you can do. I was definitely able to notice the differences after really understanding what the adjustments were, how they affected the picture and each other.

I'm not sure if you have a Moome card or not, but I hope I never have to live without mine. The picture is absolutely amazing.

Oh, yeah. Have fun and enjoy yourself, it's a huge pain in the ass that ends up being so worth it. Shocked

Thanks for the info. I went with the Fury 2 and works fine with
my setup still fudging with porch settings on the HTPC!

I should have a tweek the G70 party to gain more insight on adjustments!

Is there a way to increase the raster size on a G70 maxed out width wise
and plenty of raster to go Question Or is porch settings the only way to go?
