Curt/Mac/whoever,

Are large LCD panels ridiculously priced as replacement parts? Rather, I should ask... If a large LCD screen gets broken, is the set a total write-off?

The reason I ask is that there's a 46" Samsung set local to me with a busted screen for practically nothing... I assume it's for sale for nothing because it's cheaper to replace than to repair, but I thought I'd ask anyway... Just in case.

A 46" Samsung panel can run between 800 and 1300 bucks. If you had an exact model I could get you an exact price and maybe locate a lesser priced one but as you can see that would probably still not be worth it.
