I just bought a G70 help on an HDMI input card.

I had the hdFURY and Moome ext HD and didn't care for either one so am looking at either
the hd fury 2 or the moome sony internal card.

I will only use HTPC so I think gamma correction is not need I could be wrong.

All advice is welcomed. Just want to buy this and not beat it to death.

Thanks

I have a Moome HD HDMI internal card in my G70, I bought it used, it is one of the older ones with the single HDMI input. I had some trouble with the HDMI input socket being a bit too loose and not making a good connection, but I sprayed a bit of contact cleaner on the connector and it has taken care of the problem. Other than that I like this card much better than an external HDMI adapter I had from another company. Nice clean picture. I imagine the newer card with 2 inputs would be even better. I run most my stuff thru a DVDO VP30, than to the Moome. I don't use HTPC though.

I run a 9800gt and can't seem to get the porch settings right! I am using the HD Fury 1
and get the shift on the left side I need the HDMI for windows 7. I must be doing something
wrong I guess and Powerstrip doesn't seem to work with Nvidia. I have read the Fury 2
is the cheapest solution. The more I read the more I need to drink!!!!!!!!!

The HDFury2 has an image centering circuit only on the YPbPr output. RGBHV will still be left shifted.

HDFury3 has the image centering circuit on the RGBHV output

Keep the video card you have, buy a mobo with built in ATI graphics? I have no idea what processor you're using and if it's time to upgrade but for about $200 total for both, unless you're going all out/high end, that might be an option. I'm just not a fan of plugging in an adapter with very little tweaking available.
