Have you ever been browsing movies to buy but can't remember if you have it or not.
Or how about you lent a movie out but can't remember to who?

The other thread about the poker game iPhone app got me thinking about a personal movie data base app for the iPhone, I did a search and there is really only one so far. Its pretty cool too. here is the link:

I think for the forum iPhone users it could be very useful, I plan to down load it as soon as I post this topic.

Athanasios,

That looks pretty nice, but his site isn't clear how you enter movies into the database. All it says is, "One touch to add movies to your collection." What does that mean?

I've been using Delicious Library on the desktop for several years now, and it's an excellent piece of software. It scans UPC's from the iSight, gets all the movie info and covers, has Amazon look-up functionality, and includes the borrower function.

The developer then built a really nice iPhone companion app last spring, but after they got it admitted into the app store, Amazon got it yanked back off because it supposedly violated some clause in their API agreement.

It searches and Archive or data base of movies. so you browse for a movie you have then hit add. and its now in your personal data base. Or at least thats what i read on the app store description.

downloading it now, i got tied up with some work issues and forgot till i just got home.

Ok just downloaded it, and right away it is updating the DVD data file list. I hope it has a format choice as well, if not I am sure we can add it so you can keep BD,DVD PAL etc separately listed.

sounds really nice. i've been looking for some library software for the house, but it's really just media that i want catalogued (dvd/vhs/LD/CD/lp/...) this might be a start toward that.
