You don't know the half of it, I have spent at least 60 hours testing different parts on the LongBows CMM. Just got some new op amps after blowing one and waiting for the some other value caps for the HF oscillations . it is lots of work but i really enjoy looking at and trying to solve problems. Some times i have to walk away for a few weeks and just watch movies.

By the time you get done fixing and tweeking and fixing, the tubes are going to be worn out, before you even get to sit back and watch a few movies in full without touching something......
(Response would probably be "but I have more tubes")
Then the cycle will start all over again......
Oh yea, welcome to the site mgould.

LOL, nope my responce is i have been watching movies all along, and the only reason the Longbows are getting any attention is due to problems already there, not ones I caused until I investigated the existing issues.
I am saving the urge to tweak for the Ampro 3600 i have Once i set it up and get used to how it looks and works.
I might put hd 144's on it first.
Also i got a bunch of bare VNB's from TSE. those should keep me busy for a long time .

Thats my home when I go visit greece!! Did you sit at the cafe's along the waterfront there and look across the bay and see snow covered peaks of mount olympus ? I love Thessaloniki, great city. In 2003 i was there in january, it was the 10th and it was -2c in the am by noon it was 18c and i had to take off all my winter clothing while sitting at those cafe's enjoying the pretty greek ladies walking by...ahh i need to get back there soon.

Welcome in Mark! I've got the same CRT, but the LC version. Currently struggling getting it back into use after a long term project of swapping out all the fans (Have a couple of topics in here somewhere, the last one is fairly high up with updates).
I've also just bought the HDMI card and it's working, that's about all I can say atm
Cheers

When I put in the Moome card will it use these resolutions or will I have to make new ones? I understand I will need to do one for 1080p just to see how it looks but I am thinking that 1080p may be a bit out of range for this 8 incher. 1080i and 720p sure do look good however |
You most likely need to create a new signal entry for the Moome but you can use the settings from your stored entries. While the HDMI input is active with the 1080i signal, go to ADJUST/SIGNAL ENTRY/NEW ENTRY and tell it to copy your stored entry for 1080i to apply it to your new input. The image will go "wiggle, wiggle, snap" and you should have an image close to tuned in.
