We rented "The Hangover" last night, specifically for the extra footage from Blockbuster.

Well when we got it home it was a retarded version of the disk with just the movie. We coulda got that for $1 at RedBox. We wanted the extra's. I'm going to ask for half the money back when we return it tomorrow. Prick bastards!

I noticed that on my last rental also. They also have rental printed on the front of them as well. I think that since they can't stop the copying of media they are starting to limit the content in the rental discs.

That, or since the extras on that movie were so raunchy, maybe there was a special rental version.

I think that was the first movie I've had that was specifically stamped "rental".

We had another DVD that was labeled rental. I thought it was a little strange. I usually don't care about the extras.

I like the 'main' movie but I'll admit, sometimes I'm an extra's whore.
Just not every film.

Although the Matrix with 96 hours of Extra's was a bit trying. Rolling Eyes

I've known for more than a decade that some Blockbuster versions of movies are not the genuine article. I have to remind myself that they are a religions cult bent on changing you to the idea of their acceptable customer.

And while I dislike anything but the movie on the main disk, I bet your experience still included the threat or guilty before innocense by the FBI and Interpol.

I use zip.ca for bluray rental and more than half the disks I get from them are not the original disks. The copies are pretty obvious and have very cheap looking grey lables on them that look like they were done with lightscribe. I wonder if they duplicate and send out their "back up" copy or if they get special disks? I never watch the extras so I'm not sure if they have been stripping them off or not...
