This is a quirky one...I have a xg135 with a moome fullhd hdmi card...I am having a scenario where the pj would not sync on any signal ,shut itself off and 5 seconds later turn itself back on...then not sync on the signal turn itself on, etc and would continue this cycle.
after playing with all the sources/res/timings to no avail I pulled out the moome card...the on-off cycling stopped happening but I still can not sync on any source signal via input A /rcbhv or even after I put in my older second (InputB) rgbhv back into the pj....
I can see the pj switching between the input a and B and I can get to the menus, but I can not sync on any souce via any input on the list/menus, etc/
Anybody have some ideas...was it the moome card going bad and possibly damaging the pj with it or...? what boards/parts on the PJ need to be evaluated/replaced?
Thanks greatly for any help
Lance

Have you tried an RGBHV input? I'd switch back to whatever you were using before hte Moome card. It could be a problem with the card, but I'd possibly suspect a bad system board in the XG. The Moome card can't nuke the system board, so if it did go bad, it wasn't as a result of the Moome board installation.

Hi Curt,

My current results are with the original RGBHV input A or RGBHV input b input..all I get is some momentary white/black lines flashing ...then nothing for a few seconds then back to unregistered signal.
I think I have access to a system board to try as a test/diagnosis...will I lose any memory/setup/config settings by doing so?
Is the system board the one that has the two edge plugs (one going to the small chasis mounted board with the 3 leds)?
Thanks so much
Lance

The system board is the one with the plug going to the small board with IR and LEDs. You won't loose your settings on the system board since they are backed up by an onboard battery but the settings go with the board. Said another way, the settings exist in the memory of the system board so when you install the other system board the settings will be those that are stored on the board you swapped in.

You can transfer the settings using the PC control software and linking with a serial cable to the 'remote' port on the pj. But since you may be having problems due to your system board, I'd be cautious about transferring the data from the old to the new board as you might transfer the 'problem' with it.

Well, after some trial and error ( I had rgbhv cable miswired...duh)it is indeed the Moome full-hd card.....all other inputs are working normally.
If I even slide the fullhd card back into slot B with no source or hdmi cable attached the projector starts to shut on and off every few seconds....I can replace the fullhd card with a rgb card back into the same slot B on the pj and all is well
Thanks so much for all your assistance
Lance
