A group of chess enthusiasts checked into a hotel and were standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament victories. After about an hour, the manager came out of the office and asked them to disperse.
'But why?’ they asked as they moved off.
’Because,’ he said, ‘I can’t stand chess-nuts boasting in an open foyer.’

My best Christmas present yesterday was figuring out what was causing my Denon AVP-A1HDCI audio processor to shut itself down, repeatedly, whilst on any source. Apparently it is extraordinarily sensitive to power line noise/fluctuations. Using an isolation transformer, just on the AVP-A1HDCI fixed the problem. That, together with touching up the blend zone geometry and redoing the gray scale calibration on both projectors has the blend and the entire Home Theater setup performing flawlessly. The family watched 2 movies (The Ugly Truth, and Four Christmasses), then my son and I watched "Taken", then I watched "Must Love Dogs". No audio processor dropout, not even once.
Then, to give a Christmas present back, I posted my entire experience in the AVP-A1HDCI thread on AVSForum. Another owner had posted on Chrismas eve that his AVP-A1HDCI was shutting itself down...........

William. Was this processor number 1 or number 2? Number 2 the one that was originally shutting down.
