|
|
I am getting these horizontal reflections on my Barco Graphics 808.
It's like a ghosting image to the right of the actual image.
Any idea what can cause this?
Check the attached pictures. (they are a little fuzzy - my camera is not that great but the problem is pretty clear)
I am connected through port 3 from a PC running an NVidia 8800 GTX card. I also tried port 5 and I get the same results.
Running Windows 7 at 720p.
Thanks for any advice!

Looking further into the problem. It seems that only the green tube is reflecting. The red and the blue are OK.
So definitely something with the green tube or related to the green "path".

That's usually caused by poor cabling, and is literally called "reflections". Cable extenders are a sure way to get reflections.

Can there be other problems than cabling?
I tried connecting directly onto the projector with a 6 feet cable and got the same result.

OK - this is a picture with NOTHING connected to the projector.
Just the Menu from the Barco.
The image is fuzzy, but you can still see the reflection.
So definitely not a cable as no cable is attached to the unit.
Neck board?

Is it 808 or 808s?
S have peaking settings under picture tuning, turn it off and see if it helps.
In plain 808, it could be bad switcher- or driver board, since reflection seem to be in all colors.
If it's only in green, then it could be bad rgb amp (boards over neck boards). Swap with red and see if problem follows.

Got it -
It was a bad RGB amp.
Changed the amp and now it's crystal clear.
Thanks for the pointer.
