OK, I went by and took a look at this pj today after work. Attached are pics of the green and red tubes. The guy said he got to the menu a few months ago and thought that the hours said 3900. I could not get into the menu screen. Either there is a problem or I do not know what I am doing. When I push standby on the remote it makes the noise like the tubes are firing up and the fans come on but nothing on the tubes. I press the adjust button alone and followed by enter and still nothing. I connected up my pc with a 5 bnc cable and still nothing. I took the cover off and looked in on the tubes and the little black box on the rear of each tube has the green led on. This pj has the auto adjust camera on the front. Is anyone interested in any parts from this. If I get enough interest I will go back and pick it up.
Thanks
Dan

Did you push the 5 on the remote after you hooked up computer ?

Did you try resetting the remote address ?

If JK doesn't end up with this I wouldn't mind the C elements EHT and some other boards.

I sent you a PM, I'd be interested in the G2/DIAG board, SMPS and Horizontal Shift/Focus boards if they are not already spoken for. Those are all bad in the spare projector I have. It sounds to me as if it is going in EHT holdown.

Edit: Too bad on green, typical Runco putting the set too far back.

I would rather see the set stay in one piece, but whatever serves the greater good for all of us is okay with me.

Hmmm, it would be good to keep this one whole. Anyone interested in me taking this one whole, and offering spare boards at the same prices that drice would?

I've got enough spare parts here that I can do this in the interest in keeping this set intact.

As a bonus I'd do the standard mods to the boards I sell to make them more reliable. I don't mod every board, but there's about 12 things I do to each 1209s chassis...

Just a thought...

I like this idea. Can it be shipped to Curt for a reasonable sum?

At a price of $9,000. you will actually be PREVENTING a lot more people from the chance at "enjoying" it than you will be helping....

EVERYONE knew about that projector, and NO ONE including Curt, went to buy it, what makes you think NOW, he wants to buy it and re-sell if for his usual 18x mark up ?

And doesn't this thread seem an awful lot like a complete working projector for sale thread ? It certainly does to me...

Now if that is allowed, I have a line on 7 XG 852's and an XGLC1352...

Bennarro was at my place this weekend, he told me you make comments like this all the time!! Wink lol

It was all in good fun. He told me we should have a Ontario meet some time.

But it does sound like a PJ for sale thread too, but cleverly done so in a stealth manner. Wink

I just hate seeing working sets parted out Paul. if your against it so muck PM drice with an Offer for the whole thing.

I'd take the C-elements as I am always getting e-mails for them to sell with my bellows.
Maybe that will be my next endeavor. Wink

I'm waiting for a response from Dan regarding getting it purchased and shipped to me. It would be a spare for me at this time but at least it would remain intact. It's almost a perfect duplicate of the one I have already so a stack may be in the future.

Absolutely, I am fairly consistent with my views.

If I couldn't afford to buy it from the original seller in TX for $500., what makes you think I could afford to pay markup to the second owner ??

I would have LOVED to have this projector, and would have been MORE than happy to use it "as is", a little wear has never bothered me, but seriously, I couldn't afford to pay the shipping on a 180lb projector, let alone the $500. original asking price...

I know where there's an arguably better projector, for less, but again, can't afford the shipping, let alone the price AND shipping...

To assert that taking an already too expensive(for me, anyway) projector, and increasing the price by 18x will somehow BENEFIT the crt community is beyond my comprehension though...

If you want to sell C-Elements, just contact 3-M Precision, aren't they still the only manufacturer in the world ? I'm sure if you wanted to be a distributer, and paid their fee, you could sell them with your bellows.

However, I'm sure you realize with your experience with the bellows, a LOT of these sales are tied to price...and 3M would likely not supply you with C-Elements at an attractive enough price for you to both buy them AND sell them...

Seriously dude, what's your problem?

I for one didn't know about this set, and furthermore, you offered me the XGs, then reneged on the deal, saying it wasn't worth it for you to do it, when you needed to do NOTHING except give me the contact info.

Why are you being an Ahole today?

The only reason I wanted the 1101 is I have a commercial customer that wants two in the near year, but I said above that I'd offer whatever parts out of the set at a super low cost, whatever a 'non Curt' price would fetch on the open market.

Curt: You should actually USE that link to the Craigslist search engine I sent you. There are*(or were when I sent you the link) two Barco 1100(or Runco rebadges) on at the time I sent you the link, including the one this thread is about...

I changed my mind about the XG's because I realized if I passed along the contact info, that source would be lost to me forever, and I wasn't prepared to let that go just yet, sorry. And for me to be the middle man, and get out of it only what I proposed to you, was not a good deal for me, it would have ended up costing me more than I could afford.

Ah, whatever, it's not like I need them...Smile I just didn't like Elaine's tone above.

I do use that search engine, and there's no projectors of interest there, at least not the one you said.

I would be interested in getting those XGs, so by letting them go, they most likely will get thrown out is what I'm guessing.

I'd rather see this stay whole so if Curt or jkruger or anybody else wants the whole thing go for it. Honestly I am surprised Dan doesn't want to fix it up himself. They do throw a stunning picture.
