I have a ten-year-old Dwin HDP500 CRT projector, which has (I believe) 1080i and 720 capability. I'm interested in adding a Blu-ray player to my system. The Dwin's TranScanner box has a DP-15 fifteen-pin input connector. I currently have an RCA set top box plugged into it, and I get a good hi-def tv image on my screen.

I'm assuming there are no Blu-ray players on the market with DP-15 input connections. Does anyone make an adapter to go from, say, component outputs to DP-15 male? If so, would I have any technical issues trying to do this?

I know the results won't be state of the art, but I'd still like to give it a try.

Thanks!

Wouldn't the transcanner be useful connected between the fury and the pj? Can't you set it to scale all the input to be the same size on the screen?

Make sure you get the Fury3, and note that it is shipping next month only. If you get a Fury2, you'll also need to get a GammaX for negative sync.

The Transcanner has an RGB passthrough I think. If you still have analog video sources, keep the Transcanner, and route the Fury's output through the RGB passthrough.
