Will NEC XG tubes (P16) go into an 808? Are P16's all the same, or does the whole part number need to be taken into account?

Thanks.

No, only the 180DVBs will, and the 180DMBs can as well with a small modification.

If you have a minty set of NEC XG tubes that you want to trade for a set of tubes for the BArco, give me a shout.

If i'm not mistaken, there's a set of P16LNN's or LNQ's? that will go into the marquee's and Barco's, however the XG + G70 P16's are much shorter tubes.

Don't forget the high res versions of the 180DVB, there's the PT18-205, and I think an even later one with a different part number as well...all are the same large neck tubes and can even be used mixed in the same projector if need be.

The neck is thinner. So the magnetics are closer to the beam.

However, on the Xtra, the blue and red are shorter (and harder to come by).

The P16LNPs and P16LNQs will both work and are high res along with the PT18-205s. There are later P16s that will also work but I don't recall the numbers. These are all drop in replacements (assuming the right physical hardware on the tube) for 180DVBs.

Hi,

I profit of this thread to ask : I have a set of P16LXW in my BG808 (180DVB changed by previous owner), and I have no idea from wich model they come originaly... Do you know ? Cine8, 908 ? I don't think so, tubes are not LC's...

Thanks !

The Cine 8, Cine 8 Onyx, and Zenith Pro 1200x used those IIRC
