Hi Mike,

Do my neck boards (Mikrons) exhibit the anti-blooming behavior?

No, the neck boards in question are very later and different.

Nash,
What are you going to do with the Ampro? Unlike the Marquees, no mods are necessary with Ampros. They shipped optimized from the factory:-)

on of the tubes is shot so i was thinking of making it an LC with 8 " LC housings I have here or try to convert it to a 9"LC. not sure if the electronics will be able to do a 9 inch tube though. With Marquees its just a tube size swap, on the ampros i am not sure if its upgradeable.

But they can be modified too, not many do it Wink I read a post way back on AVS where someone did some major upgrades to the power supplies and input boards.

I always wanted an Ampro from the get go but like i said many times the marquee's just kept falling into my possession.

I'm the only one allowed to hack up a AmPro. Wink

For the record, ALL the electronics are exactly the same but the main board and it's electronically the same just in a smaller size. You can't fit even the smaller Marquee LC's on the bulkhead of the 3600. There's just not enough room.
The AmPro LC's are about 7/8ths inch taller than the quee's.

Tube question for you Nash. The 9" tubes you have. How are they supposed to compare focus wise to LUG's?

LOL well is a new guy getting into the Ampro club Smile I might do what Ile did with a barco 808 or was it 1208 chassis and put 9 inch tubes. I wont have a case but i'll get them damn tubes in it somehow!!!!

I have not fully test them yet. The issue with the blend take first priority right now.

But I just got some housings from Tim Martin and removed the old tube and cleaned the housing today.
I'll put a new Green into it. I have that new VDC Red LUG i will also put into the unused 9500LC i have. Its all stock
so it will be a good comparison once i get the time. That could be months from now. Jarmo put them in but i dont think he has an LUG to compare. And didn't craig say and I think Terry F also said that the LCP's actually are better since they can run a higher contrast with less blooming. So i guess the LUG's bloom more.

I'll no more once i do the comparison myself.
