|
|
Don't know if the story is any good or not, but I heard that Amazom, Wal-Mart and Target were beginging to have some DVD pricing wars for on-line purchases.
I haven't looked but wondered if anyone else heard the same.
Any word on BD titles?

Impossible. Wal-Mart is a monopoly and is setting the price for all goods and services in an attempt to screw the consumer! The very idea that Amazon could have any impact on Wal-Mart is pure fantasy.

You must not have read the story at the link. Walmart was setting the price and it was affecting Target and Amazon not the other way around.
Plus...the argument isn't that Walmart is bad for the consumer [directly] it is that Walmart is bad for other small business and competition and this just reinforces that.
They are so large that they can push margins down so far where they have no other competition left.

Your right. Knee-jerk reaction.
Damn those low prices!!!! Hey, Walmart has gas stations. Any chance of starting a gas-price war?

I just watched Demolition Man. I thought Taco Bell was suppose to take over the corporate world.

Actually, the "war" is only on SD format, and the so-called war is only $.01 cheaper than the other guy.
Let's see some BD wars!!
And BTW, when I live in Plano, TX, they would have price wars on gas, milk, beef brisket; the important staples of life.
