I can’t get any picture out of my “new” Barco 909 (at least new for me ...)
The previous owner mentioned that suddenly the picture was gone.

In side, all green leds on the SMPS are on and the red leds are all off, except for the red led “no coincidence” on the vertical board. I’m new to Barco so I really don’t know if this is ok or not?
The EHT seems to work no red led, I have measured the feed back control voltage from the splitter and I read 33.3 V.

Also, one of the three fans at the back is not working. But there seems to be no control of that since it don’t shutdown. I do not know how to proceed, any ideas?

That will be a tough one to repair, since I've repaired maybe 5 909s at most, Mike PArker probably a few more.

I do have a working 909 here if you want to send boards over for testing, but you've covered the basics already. Check the fuse on the EHT board?

The one fan that's not operating would be the one that's in the center. It only comes on when the HDM module reaches a certain temperature (temperature controlled).

The problem is most likely the HDM (the one the center fans cools - R763140), but can be a few other modules as well. Remove the HDM (and the board to the left of it vertical (R7631415-07).

Send those two boards to Curt.

I replaced the fan but no effect - then I hooked the old fan to an external power and its work fine. mp20748 you right it is temperature controlled and default off.

I also checked the fuse on the EHT board and its ok.
Is there a way to measure the output from these modules to figure out which one to send?

No, you need a second set to test them in.

Again, you're going to have to send both boards to Curt.

I have a similar problem on a Barco 909. I do not have high voltage to the CRT's. I do have fil voltage to the tubes, as I can see the glow in the neck of the tube. I found the fuse blown on the EHT module. I replaced the fuse and it just blew again. I replaced the EHT module and it blew the few on the replacement module. Can anyone point me in a direction on this isssue. I have plenty of replacement parts, but I do not want to just shotgun this and passably eat up all of my spare parts chasing this problem.

Sounds like a bad quad to me but I have never owned a 909 just a 1209s. Give Curt a PM. If you need the 909 service manual send me a PM.

It could also be a bad HV splitter....Mike Parker is also familiar with the 909 projector.
