Looking for some tips or directions for adjusting the S-Curve on a Runco 930/933.
Is it pretty much eye-balling it for each CRT?
Here is the board as some have asked what and where it is. It is a small piggy-back on the Wave board:

I would put up a grid, turn of r and b and then turn the G pot on this board.
The Xtra's or in your case 933's, always had line distortions that were impossible to get perfect....I think this board corects those distortions. I would be looking at the top and bottom of the grid...likely neither are perfectly straight as-is and will require some correction via that board.

Ben, thanks.
After posting this, I messed around with the adjustments. While I was able to get a center horizontal line really good, the top and bottom lines got worse.
Ken also advised of the same thing; that is to watch the top and bottom.
My thought (question) was, where in the process of set-up (from scratch) do I adjust the s-curve? (Before or after phase?)

likely after....you could experiment and see what works best.
post a screen shot. I've had several PGXtra's, and they never have a straight line top and bottom...I also had a 933 and was unaware of this adjustment!!!

Adjust the S-Curve after Phase. And, adjust to the top and bottom. It does help in getting a square/rectangle image from the begining. Also much easier on the keystone, bow and pin-cushion.
I have a point board but don't want to use it until the end of set-up and most certainly, not on green. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't have the experience and knowledge of the pro's, so, I learn by my mistakes. And there is a bunch of them..
If I could write a manual on what not to do, well, it would be hundreds of pages. I think I have found just about everything you SHOULD NOT DO!!!! But I still enjoy this stuff....
