I was looking at the list of movies that I want to see on Blu-ray over the next 6-8 weeks... I don't think I have enough time!

(Hover over names for pricing/more information)

Quote:
Forrest Gump Nov 3, 2009 (Call me a suck but I have a weak spot for this feel-good movie - most people either love it or hate it)

Heat Nov 3, 2009 (Fantastic crime movie. Can't wait to hear those gun-shot echos on Blu-ray!)

Logan's Run Nov 3, 2009 (Never actually seen it... been waiting for it to come out on Blu-ray before I dive in)

North by Northwest Nov 3, 2009 (Classic)

Up (Pixar) Nov 10, 2009 (Saw it in the theater in 3D. It rated 5/5 on both video/audio. The surround sound should be amazing on this.)

Monsters Inc. Nov 10, 2009 (Many find this one to be one of Pixar's weaker movies but I really like the concept).

Star Trek (2009) Nov 17, 2009 (Never saw it in the theaters - this one can't come soon enough!)

Fight Club Nov 17, 2009 (One of my top 10 favs. Can't wait to see it in HD!)

Leon: The Professional Nov 17, 2009 (One of my top 10 favs. Much better than the short American version)

Angels & Demons Nov 24, 2009 (Never saw it. Reviews were mixed. I think it came out too late after the book... the interest has died down too much).

Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels Dec 1, 2009 (Classic Guy Ritchie movie. I love the style of his movies).

Julie & Julia Dec 8, 2009 (Wife wants to see this one...) Smile

Public Enemies Dec 8, 2009 (Christian Bale and Johnny Depp do crime directed by Michael Mann who also did Heat!)

G-FORCE Dec 15, 2009 (The kids liked this one. I wasn't that impressed)

The Hangover Dec 15, 2009 (Never seen it but supposed to be "the" top comedy of 2009).

Inglourious Basterds Dec 15, 2009 (I just finished watching Kill Bill 1&2 again a couple of nights ago to get myself in the mood for more Quentin Tarantino)

Moon Dec 29, 2009 (Im a space/sci-fi junkie so when a new movie that looks like 2001 comes out and it gets good reviews, I'm all in).

District 9 Dec 29, 2009 (More sci-fi... what can I say? Produced by Peter Jackson, the director of the 3 Lord of the Rings movies).

Che (Criterion Collection) Jan 19, 2010 (Steven Soderbergh [Traffic] directs Benicio Del Toro in the life story of Ernesto 'Che' Guevara).

There's other popular stuff coming out too, but thankfully not interested in these (so more time for watching the above movies!):

Quote:
Lord of the Rings Trilogy Nov 3, 2009 (I'm waiting for the extended versions myself)

A Christmas Carol (1951) Nov 3, 2009 (Classic)

G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra Nov 3, 2009 (Reviews were horrible but people will probably still be interested. Hell, Transformers 2 made $800M in box office alone and that movie was CRAP!)

James Bond 10-Pack Blu-ray Collection Nov 3, 2009

Bruno Nov 17, 2009 (Didn't do as well as Borat but most people still seem to find it funny if you like this kind of stuff)

Gone with the Wind (70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition) Nov 30, 2009 (Believe it or not, I've never seen this. I'm going to wait for a single disc edition however. This one's too $$$)

Harry Potter Years 1-6 Giftset Dec 8, 2009 (Half-Blood price is coming out the same day too... Never was much into these myself).

What are YOU guys looking forward to watching over the next couple of months??

If John Cusak's "Say Anything" is a classic then we need to redefine the term classic. Wink (Sorry, I bought the movie recently on someone's suggestion and I don't really like it).

Fight Club for sure! One of my favorites. Star Trek was awesome, would love to watch it again. District 9, heard it was good. Lock, Stock was great too. LOTR trilogy, hells yeah!

With those 80's movies. I loved them when I was a kid, but watching them again is torture. The memories are so much better than the actual movies!

Ever since I was a little boy I watched the original series and movies with my dad. I thought the new movie was a great blend of new and old. As soon as I finished watching it I wanted to see it again, which is usually a good sign. Smile

I also remember on a few scenes thinking, this is going to be awesome in the basement. plenty of good subwoofer bits.

I saw that a couple of weeks ago. There were niggly little bit's ( details ) that bugged me but as a stand alone movie it was indeed fantastic.

Umm, I guess I'm the only one who thought was just "ok".

The Kirk actor is just plain annoying...he's like fingers on a blackboard.

And the plot wasn't "epic" enough. The one with the whales had more tension..
