Hey all
I think its the HVPS but I fig I'd run it past the collective here before I go see the machine.
Its a BG800 which ha exhibited the following symptoms.
Owner first complained the Red tube seemed to bleed colors on movement. Then he noticed the red was out of focus so he adjusted the focus block accordingly. It was OK for a while and then went out of focus again so he adjusted again. Shortly after the second adjustment the screen went black. PJ would power up but no image and no high voltage crackle.

So I'm guessing HVPS but I'm open to hearing other preferable cheaper solutions.

What ya think?

Check the fuse on the EHT board, check to see if the red light is on on the EHT board.

Sounds like the focus board went bad, and possibly overloaded the HV supply, but hopefully the quadrupler isn't gone.
