There was someone living in Anchorage that has a CRT, a Marquee I think. I've got someone in anchorage with a DWIN that could use some assistance in connecting HD to a DWIN setup.
This isn't warranty, I'm repairing his DWIN supply, so you can make a buck or two, and he needs to buy a Fury, plus the DWIN will need reconverging once the Fury2 is connected.

yeah he has an 8500. luckilly the Dwin is actually not too different. I was able to set-up a Dwin once based strictly on my Marqueee expereince and no manual Only thing odd about the Dwin was with H-size maxed at 100 there was still plenty of tube left. Maybe a safety feature built in o prevent tube overscan. Not a bad pic though, maybe 10% to 15% softer and dimmer than a stock 8500.

Hey guys I just saw this post and would love to help.I am not the most tech savvy person on this board but maybe there is something I can do. And since I don't post very often I thought I might update anyone interested. We adopted a baby in Jan 09 and found out in July that we are pregnant. That is the good news the trouble is we have lost 2 at 20 weeks over the last 3 years and we just hit 21 weeks yesterday . The wife is on bed rest and limited to lifting 5 lbs. so guess who gets to do everything. I am not complaining but man it is hard to get 3 hours a night and still function.Has anyone else been through a similar situation ? And what did you do. Just curious.

So she's not helping to take the Marquee off the ceiling any time soon?
Congratulations and good luck!
I've never been involved with a newborn, so I can only imagine.

WOW, at 3 hours sleep a night it wouldn't be long before I cut off a finger or even an entire hand at work. I can't imagine what that's like but I wish you the best. Good news is they will be both be out of diapers around the same time but you'll be trucking around a big bag for 2 years.

My gawd, why are you only getting 3 hours of sleep? How old is the little one? Close to 1, now? That little one should have been sleeping most of the night 6 months ago!
Yes, it sucks going without huge chunks of sleep. My wife was really good about getting up once I had to go back to work, but even when I wasn't up, I wasn't really sleeping, knowing they were both up. Both my kids were terrible sleepers (they would NOT go to sleep) the first 3 months of their lives, and didn't really sleep all the way through the night until about 6 months. At nearly a year, they should be sleeping all the way through the night, now.
Sorry for your losses, but congrats on the one on the way!

The Dwin is a sweet little projector. It's not a good projector for HD but it's great for normal DVDs. Does yours have clear or color-filtered (green & red) lenses?

There is no "should" with kids, Steve. Every kid is different. My oldest had trouble getting to sleep -- I spent many late nights carrying him around the house -- but once he went down, he usually stayed asleep pretty well until at least 7-8am. My youngest would NOT go to sleep before 11-11:30, and he was up and ready to roll by 4am! (At an age when babies are "supposed" to sleep 10 hrs a night!!) It was a great day when he started letting us sleep past 5am...
Congrats Adrian! Good luck with the pregnancy!

Oh, I know Gary. My kids were both really bad sleepers, too. When they were newborns, they would NOT sleep. Even at 6 months old, we'd finally get them down at 11 or 11:30 like you said and they'd be back up at 6. By 1 year though, we had them both trained not to get up before 7. If they were up much earlier (when it was dark for instance), we'd change 'em and put 'em back in bad. They learned that one pretty fast, actually. To this day, they're both still bad about going to sleep at night... I think they get that from us - we're both night owls. If I didn't have a "regular" job, I'd go to bed at 1:30 or 2 every night and sleep until 8:30 or 9.
It's funny... When you talk about babies not sleeping, all the books and doctors always tell you it's because the kids are just really smart and not to worry about it. But, I think it's a conspiracy to make new parents feel better when they're getting 3 hours of sleep a night and trying not to stab people at the office!

When I was a baby my mother use to get up because I wasn't making any noise. She was afraid I wasn't ok or something. Seems my screaming sister had her conditioned to jump up and quiet her down every night. I was content to lay there dreaming of 8 Tracks and FM radio. There was this one time when I was 18 months old, I decided to climb out of my crib and play with the stereo at 3 am...
The Police officer was a very pretty lady I remember. My parent's thought there was an intruder in the house
Adrian, best of luck with the pregnancy.

Jesus, you ARE a clone of Tinman and I!
When I was 18 months old, I apparently spent 2 full days in front of my parents' reel to reel, learning how to thread it. I didn't sleep or nap or eat. I concentrated on the Pentron tape recorder.
At the end of the second day, I'd mastered it, but also destroyed a number of my folk's German Folk music tapes.
Thinking about it, destroying those tapes was probably a good thing.

Check out Adrianne's 8500, it's a step or 2 up in performance.
