Why what happened? | A few of the concrete fasteners came loose and a huge slab fell on her car and crushed her. There's a big investigation going on now.

sh*t happens. If a plane crashes on my house i'm pretty shure the crt comes down as well. I mean, there's tons of things that can go wrong, all the time, everywhere, in all circumstances. No need to panic.

Post a pic of that one. Sounds...dangerous but interesting

a lot would depend on the thickness of the ply. 3/4" plywood sure. anything less and i'll be taking the seat not directly under the projector
hmmm, do they sell 1" thick plywood?

Where do you find that 1 foot thick plywood.
Actually, I've heard of others doing this also with no issues.

Currently I'm using a table ( *sigh* ) but I'm in the process of build a stand so I can test doing a straight throw (0 degree). Hopefully it will work the way I want it to, if not the pj will end up on ceiling.

Rear, table...... easy to work on, very little noise in the "theatre".

Too bad I can't change my "vote". Mine is finally up on the ceiling with a homemade mounting system . I even solved the straight throw angle(nearly). My mounting system puts the center of the green lens about 14 inches down from the ceiling, with my screen right up against the ceiling. All in all, a bit brighter, more stable and a heck of a lot nicer now that it's all more like a real theater. A tip too, most of you know this, but lining the area around and above the screen with black fabric really helps the "total immersion" factor .
