So I have a sony 1271 and I recently got some 5bnc cables. So I turn to my 5BNC input and the sides seem to be bowwed. This happens to both sides and I really don't know what the problem could be. It's not the input because even with it plugged out it the test patterns looked bowed.

Any suggestions?

Also, don't say use your bow convergence because it happens to both sides leaving bow useless. I've been trying key and pin, but I can't seem to get it perfect.

How's your mechanical setup? Is the projector parallel to the screen?

Yeah, have you ever done a full setup? Did you change resolutions when you changed cables?

Your post sounds very much like when people haven't done a full setup from scratch, according to the manual. In that case, most people end up chasing their tails, and can't get it right. Sound familiar?

I've followed the manual to the letter, and the only thing I haven't been able to do is setup the raster. (Need to pick up an extra long screw driver)

Is the bow on the top and bottom or the sides? I wouldn't bother trying to adjust it out if you are going to max the rasters soon. You will be doing a full setup when you do that. Get the rasters perfectly square (or rectangular) when maximizing them and then position the projector to suit the image.
