I have an older NEC XG 1350 for which I need PC control software. The PC control software available on this site works on newer models only. Any help much appreciated.

I tried the route you did with the software bit. I built a cable and everything. Eventually I just got a remote, because although it would register the projector, the projeftor wouldn't follow any of the commands sent to it.

What was the serial number of your projector ?

According to the service bulletin posted in NEC Tips and Manuals section, projector with your serial number is incompatible with the control software. I have a similar problem hence the request for help.
