Remember back when you could collect Star Trek episodes on VHS at the rate of 1 every 2 weeks? I have a friend who's dad is a REAL Trekkie. He has every episode of the original series and TNG on VHS. He is proud of those. He never watches them because they could get damaged. Collecting for the sake of collecting is another return on investment that the most expensive equipment couldn't satisfy.
If you have 2000 movies there has to be some pleasure taken from just looking at your collection and thinking "I could open my open video store!"

I just like collecting. especially odd stuff. I will pay extra for a good condition/liner notes/case etc. Just because I like it. I don't know how many copies of StarWars I have on VHS in "special" box set's.
