|
|
Hello,
I've got my new tubes, a set of 180DMB22 and i want to run this in my Barco Data 808s (180DVB22 originally).
I know this requires a neckboard mod. But i don't know exactly how this works.
i read this on avsforum:

To go the other way, to install DMBs in place of DVBs, you need to run a jumper wire fromi
pin 6 (the G2 lead) to pin 2 which is one of the two pins that are in their own little chamber
on the end of the neck connector. It's the one that is counterclockwise of the other.
At this moment, I have a 9500LC running with one standard P19LCP07 green tube,
and with two P19LCP03s, blue and red, which requires the exact same conversion
as running DVBs in place of DMBs.

can anyone who has expirence with this confirm this ?
best regards from germany
manuel

Hy,
When your tubes arrived, just look inside the tube. You'll se that one pin (the pin with the plastic cab on it) is not connected in the inner of the tube. I think this pin will be the G2 Pin of your Barco. The Marquee Pin (as you can see in the photo) shuldn't have an connection to anything on your neck board. So connect those two Pins.

I just dropped a set of DVBs in my marquee. Simple mod but I'm not sure what's needed in your 808s. Hopefully this pinout information will make it easier for you. The G2 pin location is the only difference between the two tubes.
