Yeah iI dropped it I'm sure it never ever happened to anyone else. but now my red tube convergence will not go to the right on the tube face far enough. It is off the tube face on the left hand side, all other grids move fine. Machine is set to 90v 35h short retrace. The cardboard tubes with the copper windings are bent and broken but the wires are still intact and taped up. {wrapped around}.

Does the center square move the red raster at all left and right? If so, I'd say you have toe in issues. Did you bump the tube while freaking out? The left right shift power supply on the H board is common to all three tubes, I've never just had one color fail.

Yes the red does move left and right up and down. Bump the tube, yeah, I mean hell yeah. Toe in can cause the image on the tube face not to move far enough on the tube face?

Be careful with those Coils they have high voltage on them!!! As best you can try to make sure they are put back together as close to how the were and make sure the ferrite core adjustment plug is still in each tube. If not you'll have issues. But if its all ok then use some super glue on the paper tube being careful not to get any on the area where the ferrite core should be(you may need to adjust it later). then afterwards get some heat shrink tubing to go over the tube and heat it up for a tight fit, this should keep it all in place. then I would do a initialization and start over from scratch.

Thanks Nashou, Repairing [Tape job] was done while board was out.I have not touched it while in the Machine. The ferrite core? I guess I'll have to look and see if that is still there, I doubt it. The smaller board that is piggy backed on popped off too. I just put it back on. How do you adjust this ferrite core? And how do you know what it is doing? For what it's worth the picture is good I just moved the other grids over to match the red. I'm just concerned for the tube if the image is spilling off the side [ever so slightly} just enough to make the edges of the grid droop.
Also if you buy a spare board would it need to be adjusted?

Hello
Maybe you have the H yoke wires mixed up; at the HDM red is front-most, green in the middle, blue to the rear. Check those.

Don't worry about the coils. WHile they do adjust width, their range is minimal, and guaranteed they have nothing to do with your problem.

I did check all the wires to the HDM. All are correct. I also did a better tape job made the cardboard tubes straighter and I now have full, complete control of all 3 grids
Thank you Guys.

awww now don't be that way. You can't really post this and not expect a little crap.
I also mis-read the thread, I thought you drooped the whole thing. Actually had a guy do that here, 3 mint 9" tubes imploded when it hit the floor.

Come on, I did not drop the Projector.
The HDM dropped out of its cage and bent the little card board tubes. Nothing that hasn't been talked about here tons of times.

Update on the HDM.
Although it survived the drop and still works, it is apparently causing noise in the image on screen. So I ordered a new one from Curt.
Lat's face it, all of the little cardboard tubes were bent and broken, save 1. I have also found a couple of lifted [Transistors?] with broken solder on one leg. I can't solder, and even if I could, I wouldn't know if what I was soldering was the only problem.
So Curt to the rescue.
Price? Fair. I would post the price, but I am not sure about how curt feels about that.
So very Fair.
Edit: Also I have used HK Steve's strap technique on the cages to hold them in place. Has anyone done something that will hold the HDM in the cage while ceiling mounted?.
