TV/Projector: All of them!

Didn't know whether to post this in the Fury section or here. I installed an XG110 with a Fury2 with about a 40' cable run of 5 individual RG6 cables coupled to the breakout cable from the Fury2.

I got the expected foldover at 1080p from my HD DVD player (customer's PS3 is out for servicing), and I ran a short HDMI cable between the player and Fury, and yes, the power supply is connected. <grin>

I set up the 1080p, using the blanking controls to get rid of the foldover, and also then setup the 720p signal on another memory. It looked absolutely stellar, even with the customer's non HD Indian movies (nice color on those movies, I'll need to see if I can get some Bollywood releases in BluRay for demo purposes). but the customer and I noticed some black bands shooting horizontally across the screen from time to time.

It's similar to the banding you might see when you're right at the edge of the H phase setting of a set, they are not distinct bands per se, but are darker horizontal bands that fluctuate with the brightness changes of the image. Most noticeable when you're switching from a dark to light scene, or vice versa. A stationary image doesn't show this.

I'm going to try and duplicate it here today with another XG and Fury, but I don't think this is projector related.

Anyone seen this before?

I've seen something similar (I think) on a G90 when either the sync width or porches were too small. It couldn't clamp black properly.

Just installed a HDFury2 on my G90 and initially had sync problems. This was never a problem with the Moome internal IFB or HD-EXT box (going to the same input A). The horizontal frequency was jumping just below 60Hz and required me to go into the menu and reset the CLAMP setting. The pj was also seeing this input as a new resolution and I was getting default values for brightness/contrast etc. I've got a feeling that the problem I was seeing is related to the power up order. I was turning on the pj to let it warm up as I normally do and then turn on the PS3.
Last night I changed the order and took the PS3 out of standby first before powering up the G90 and it seemed to lock on fine to 1080P and brought up my stored settings for that resolution.
