I bought a 1 man company about 10 years ago, and that's what he did- repaired scoreboards. I actually threw out a messload of spare parts, since at this point a lot of arenas have gone digital, but I more than got my money back out of doing repairs over the last 10 years. RG58 cable sent the serial data signal to the scoreboards. I still have one bolted to my shop wall, as once every 2-3 months I get a call. I also nailed some some system installations due to me being in the school/gym and commented about the poor sound system in the place. Smile

I've still got two 4X 8' basketball scoreboards here, and one 4 X 12' outdoor football one that I've never used. I've rented them to movie sets as well.

You should set the one in your shop up so it shows the number of people currently looking at the forum... Razz

That would ROCK! As a side-benefit, you could turn all the other lights in the room off! Wink

Yeah, from my experience, there's about 6 hours between midnight and 6 my time (which would be 10pm-4am Curt's time) that there would only be a digit or two lit up, but Curt probably doesn't do much work at that time! Wink

My day lately goes from 5:30 AM to about 10 PM. Once in a blue moon I can't sleep, so I do answer emails at odd times.

I heard on the radio once that people check their emails to ensure that someone out there wants them, emails reaffirm that you are an important person to someone, somewhere.

If that indeed is true, then I'm way past benefiting from a 12 step program, I check my emails constantly. Very Happy
