Hello. I had problems to get good focus out of my 9500LC in that small screen that i have. When i upgraded my 8500 to 9500 only lenses that i had was set of HD-10īs , center focus knob was near itīs limit at end of adjustmentrange and focus (or lack of it) was bad..

Here is some talk about it: https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=16821.html

Finally yesterday i had time to pick up nice set of HD-10Līs ( thanks to JPOP for those) Just had to made small "sunday drive" about 700 kilometers Mr. Green

Ok here is results (sorry about picture quality, i had to use my phone camera, so those are quite noisy and unsharp pictures)

I had not time yet to test 100% how those Līs focus at screen edges, but seems that corners are little softer than center area, propably is also from maxed out rasters.
Also good part was that i didnīt had to move projector to fit picture to screen Thumbs Up

Shame that my camera wasnīt here, those phone camera shots doeseng give much reality. Just enough that you can see how much better those Līs focus

Also thanks to Mike P to point me to get those Līs

Yep. Maybe those plain hd-10īs would work better if they were used on proper screen size (mine was not near to proper for those..)
Yes, those tubes work nice, but i still have some problems to get best (electronic) side focus out of those. I have played whole day with frankenyokes to get last 10% out of my setup.. Adding more HV seems to help with side focus but then there is not enough range to get center static focus perfect (magnetstrenght or gauss of 1292 yoke is too small then to get focus right)

The 10L's should be the better focusing of the two lenses IF you use them within their range, which you *just* are. They are rated at 12lppm, whereas the plain HD10's, which are an older lens, are only rated at 10lppm.

I think those Līs are quite there.. if center focus is from 0-100 (knob position) mine are near at 60

I think maxing your raster out is also causing issues with Electronic focus, also the 1292 gauss is not as strong as the marquee focus yokes, but the 1292 spreads it out over a longer field. The barco magnets are as strong as the Marquees, but the coils are wrong the best solution could be use the barco magnets with 1292 coils, or rewind your own.

I did radical solution and "pushed" reset everything button and redo whole setut from beginning. That side focus issue is so "small" that it can seen on screen but on normal wiewing distance it doesend bother..
So least now i know what iīm doing this evening Mr. Green
