I don't seem to be able to lower the G2 on green so that I can reduce light output to zero. No matter how far I turn the G2 pot there is still plenty of light emitted from the tube. This is producing too much green. I have changed the RGB input amp RGB output amp on green and the focus block all to no effect.
Can the fault be in the tube itself or the neck board??

Green phosphorus takes long time to stop emitting light even projector is shut down.
Or is this something else?

I know where you are coming from with this but I think we are talking about different things. When I adjust G2 on red and blue I can reduce light output to zero but not on green. The situation you mention would eventually drop the green to zero just more slowly than red or blue but in this case the green stays bright and never goes out. Green can be adjusted but not low enough to reduce light output to zero and even if some light always comes from green its too high to obtain correct color balance.

More info.
The problem exists when a video signal is inputed to the projector. Without a signal say on the internal test pattern you can dim green G2 to black.

Hello
Try swapping red and green coax lines if feeding RGB, see if the problem moves to red, that would suggest a source problem.

An update on this.
Its not a problem from the source as I have replaced the DVD player and the problem is still there.
Could it be the Lumagen Vision ??

Did you try Tims suggestion? The Lumagen is still a source....

OK see if you can work this out.
I swaped the red and green BNC connectors and the result was partly not expected. Two things happen.
1 The problem moves to the red tube. That is you cannot reduce red G2 to zero.
But heres where it gets interesting.
2 When you now adjust the red G2 (which now connected to the green tube) both the blue and green change together!!!!!
Just to make this clear if I switch the connections back to their correct locations all G2 adjustments operate individually excepting green will not reduce to black.
Now I do have another focus block and I have swapped it in before now and the same problem exists on green so if its a problem in the focus block then its a problem in more than one focus block. What are the chances??
I am not sure where to look from here.

Where are you making this adjustment? In the projector or the lumagen?
