If your saying you dont have any horz controls for any color then no, the DB is not a definite. The DA also comes into play plus possibly others. Testing would have to be done to verify or just board swaps until the right one is found.....

I have whatever you need. I would probably change the convergence board first, as I have had your symptoms before, but as Macguyver says, it could be another board.
$50 plus shipping for a convergence board. Email me at curtpalme@shaw.ca if you want one. Shipping for that board will be about $25.

the red and blue horizontal convergence are fine, however, the green signal gone and red and blue signals are flickering after swap the DB board! so what may the probable cause?
remarks: the projector will shut down when it is not yet warm up and switch to hi-scan since I run it at 480p, but it will resume normal after warm up.

I ran the board for a few hours before sending it, and checked all functions. Are you sure that the CRT on/off switches are simply not turned off? You may have multiple problems in the set..

I think your board is fine. before the convergence problem, the projector is always shut down with hi scan mode(480p) when cool fire up, few times fire up again it will work fine (problem exist since 2003).
last month when I hook it up with new purchased BDP-05FD and the PIXEL MAGIC VPS2300, it shut down after first time fire up, and then second fire up the convergence control gone. after DB board swapping, it shut down when first fire up, and then second fire up the green gone and red and blue were flickering.
to be continue..............

I had a very simular issue with my VPH 1001 QM, the way i ended up getting it working was pull the removable chip out of the board underneath the convergence board, and re-seat it carefully. All my converenge was perfectly fine after that, all the pots worked exactly as they should.
