What's wrong with a G90 with 15,000 hours? |
Nothing if it was in an HT or conference room and setup well... Or, a lot if it was running corporate PowerPoint propaganda in torch mode 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for 7 years.

I was offered a free G90 to play with to see if my Thomas Tubes will work in them. I am so busy with my theater project and others I cant do that now, But i might some day.
SC you may get one sooner than later the way they are droping...I might have a 9500 for sale soon with new thomas tubes late this year or early next.

Nice.
That's in Scarborough, Maine... near Portland. 10 hours from me. emdawgz would be closer. Or Chip in MA. |
Yep, I thought about it. But knew that someone here would be looking at it also and if I scored it for $450.00 would be cast away if I tried to make lunch money profit on it. I knew I could pull one board out of it, dump the rest in the landfilll and double my money. I don't sell projectors or parts. Once in a great while I will sell a AmPro board. But it's not to make a profit but to help someone out. Quite frankly, I'm rapidly approaching the end of my interest in crt. The next advance in digital technology will be good enough for me.
Curt often complains of digital being a "throw away technology". That may be so but it's reaching a point that it's cheaper to toss away a digital for new then to re-tube a CRT.

No you don't. I'm closer then you think to digital. You must have me confused with someone who gives a spanked monkey.
But for now, the AmPro's stay along with the truck-load of spare boards and power supplies I have.
I smell a RS-2

I remember when Nosto-dumb-ass predicted the end of the world on Thursday night back in the 90's. We were at the bar having wings and beer. The after effects of the hot sauce made it feel like the end of the end the next day but I'm still here.

End of the world.....END OF THE WORLD. But I haven't had twins yet.
I have had sisters, a couple of years apart, on the same night and at the same time but not twins
