Nope, I bid $1111. With both the G and B tubes toast (guaranteed the buyer didn't see that if he's not a forum member), it's not worth more than that.

Wanna bet I'll get an email in a week from someone wanting minty G and B tubes for $50 each? Smile

Here is a couple of pictures the seller sent me.

What's the availability and cost of G90 tubes anyway?

Ouch those are toasty.

Overall, I think $1136 was a fair price... not a killer deal, not a rip-off.

Who's the buyer?

According to the seller, the buyer is a reader of this site. I told the seller I posted the pictures here about 30 minutes before the auction closed.

Well, a working Ya board alone is worth $1K on the used market, but I wasn't going to pay $1500 incl shipping, another $250 to get it into Canada in that shape. Good score for anyone that is aware that it needs two tubes, or just wants spares for an existing G90.

Actually the seller told me he works for a theater company. The casket is a prop.

I noticed the wheelchair in the second pic. Figured it was for a crippled G-90. Who's the lucky winner?

Too late. He was inundated with emails within an hour of that being posted. I was 4th, but someone is driving there tomorrow to grab it. I'm second in line apparently if the first guy doesn't take it.

you have to read all the way to the bottom of that add, sold "AS IS !!!"

I bet it has a bad YA board or toasted tubes.

It is getting ridiculous... I may get a 9-incher yet! It would be kind of cool to "arrive" at a 9" machine before I sell this house or ultimately go digital at some point.

I wouldn't necessarily worry about the "as-is" sale condition... To me, on an in-person sale, "as-is" just says, "Hey, if it's in stated condition when you pick it up, don't whine to me if something doesn't work right." I'd sell a projector as-is, too. Besides, the ad actually says "Sony Projector in good working condation" on the first line... So, I doubt it has a bad YA board.

Of course, it may have 15,000 hours and the tubes may be "Mouse Ears Black", but the ad does say it works.
