The guy I bought my 1100 from told me: "Nobody wants a CRT anymore. They are just too big and heavy." I just smiled.

Of course Chip isn't posting. Let's face it guys, a new Barco 909/Cine9 is the ultimate viagra for us. He's got an ultimate stiffie, and at his ripe old age, he's having to breathe deeply and slowly... for days....

No love for the Ampro's anymore?...how sad.
What are the chances? CRT guy (rare breed in this day and age) stumbling on a brand new, in the box Cine 9 (almost as rare ). The stars were truly in alignment that day.

Yeah, but just imagine how they'd feel if they somehow later find out they could have gotten something like TEN times that for it!!!! Heart attack city!!! Not exactly the "million dollars' worth of life savings in a mattress in the landfill" heart attack, but a major bummer nonetheless!
I still think it's weird that Chip is just lurking... He was back again just this morning!

Dammit, Chip... You've kept us waiting long enough. Either post the photo of the big Barco crate in your van (and it would be BIG - I've handled a 909 crate myself)... Or put us out of our misery and tell us it was all a sick, twisted joke!

He contacted me on the side, warning me he'd need an assist on the QT to move something heavy. I was assuming a body but hey, could be a Cine9.

Well, you know what they say... "A friend will help you move, but only a True Friend will help you move bodies."

I don't know, but I think I've heard this same story before.

Yep, I smell a rat....an Ampro loving rat.
This in the one story that would get a rise out of CRT guys. Treasure found in the dusty basement of a foreclosed home...way too good to be true.

Yep. This story has been told for years, but it usually involves a dusty Cobra w/the original side-oiler, a classic Ferrari or Mercedes, or a '67 427/435 Corvette in a widowed farmer's wife's barn...
This time, instead of a car, it's a Barco, and instead of a barn, it's a foreclosed house basement.

He's back and lurking in the weeds, again. I'm pretty sure we've all been had, and either Heywood was in on it, or was tricked like the rest of us.
