First what sources do you plan to use?

These are devices to improve picture quality. The video signal from a standard DVD is in a format, or resolution, called 480i. That signal displayed on a 9500 will have gaps between the scan lines that most people will find annoying. A scaler will redraw the image with more scan lines and fill in the gaps with a denser image. There are many good scalers to choose from; one with 1024p output is a good match for your 9500

go buy a Blue Ray player, a good one like a Panasonic. Then add a Moome HDMI input card to the expansion slot on the Marquee, it's wroth every penny of the $400.
Run a simple HDMI cable between the 2 and your done. The player will up-scale standard DVD's just fine, no expensive outboard scaler needed.

Blu-Ray all the way. HDMI to Moome card the new version 1.3. I have the same P/J. with a sony bd550 Blu-Ray and it is super clear. But be forewarned once you start with Blu-Ray you'll be rebuying all of those great dvd's you already have.

Not too bad for a 100 footer actually...

http://cgi.ebay.com/Solid-Signal-100-Ft-HDMI-Cable-Version-1-3b-w-Repeater_W0QQitemZ270382406953QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ef40c1d29&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A570%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

$118 USD + shipping. I know people that spend that for that 10ft monster cable BS. I'll be getting a 25 or 50 ft for my setup.

http://cgi.ebay.com/100-FT-CL3-CL2-HDMI-1-3-Long-Cable-w-Equalizer-In-Wall_W0QQitemZ230336488076QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item35a11fe28c&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A570%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

Even better 100 feet for $80 shipped.

Not sure how the length affects quality or anything though.

http://cgi.ebay.com/HDMI-CABLE-75-FT-HIGH-BANDWIDTH-DIGITAL-CONNECTION_W0QQitemZ290313732490QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item43980c018a&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A570%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

$60 for 75 feet. Might work.

Good luck. The moome card is pricey, but gives you 2 HDMI inputs. Plug and play for a BR player and Cable/Satellite box with 2 of the above cables and you are off!

thats too long for HDMI, look for a moome external HDMI to RGBHV converter, one of the early versions since it strips HDCP for 1080p Blu Ray.

On the blue convergence did you follow the onscreen help guide? You need to mechanicaly align the lens/tube assembly forst before doing
electronic convergence.
